jam and cheese pastry

My weekend couldn't be starting out any better. Last night my wife and I went cross-country skiing in the nature preserve nearby, and the lighted trails provided for a gorgeous ski through the woods.

Not used to such exercise that late in the evening, we slept in this morning. I'm sipping my cup of coffee, reading the news via the Internet (mostly of the developments in Cairo) and my wife is baking cream cheese and raspberry jam pastries- the kind I always buy from bakeries if I ever see them. The Bonne Maman jam she used is simple and delicious.
