After searching and searching for creme brulee ramekins, (the shallow kind) my wife made her first batch. She finally was able to use the heart-shaped ramekin I bought her back in college during a post-Valentine's Day sale, and the creme brulee torch I gave her for her birthday last year. After mixing, simmering, baking and scorching, her attempt at this delightful dessert was a success. It was a little too delectable though, as she realized that she halved all of the ingredients in the recipe except the sugar! She was frustrated, but it still tasted amazing.
